WHO Group II Pulmonary Hypertension: Focus on Heart Failure With Normal Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction

This course will discuss pulmonary hypertension associated with diastolic heart failure. Participants will learn about its definition, epidemiology, physiology, evaluation and diagnosis, and management. This activity features a case study.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Define WHO Group 2 pulmonary hypertension
2. Describe the common epidemiologic factors among patients with WHO Group 2 pulmonary hypertension
3. Identify common pathophysiologic features of heart failure with normal left ventricular ejection fraction
4. Apply appropriate diagnostic tools to complete a differential diagnosis of WHO Group 2 pulmonary hypertension
