Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Recognize the physical characteristics of scleroderma and distinguish between diffuse and limited types of scleroderma.
- Outline basic ways to diagnose scleroderma and the importance of carbon monoxide diffusing capacity (DLCO) in the diagnosis.
- Describe the prevalence of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) in scleroderma patients and the importance of pulmonary function testing and screening for PAH in all scleroderma patients.
