Juliana Liu a Nurse Practitioner at the Stanford Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic presents this course, which will teach the health professional to identify the physical signs that are related to Pulmonary Hypertension and as well as signs of some of PH’s associated diseases. Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Define Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) and its various associated conditions.
- Describe the physical signs related to PH and to progressive forms of the disease.
- Complete physical assessments of the pulmonary and cardiovascular systems, neck, throat and abdomen that contribute to a definitive diagnosis of PH.
- Differentiate between the physical signs of PH and signs that are unique to associated conditions or that develop secondary to PH treatment.

Nursing credit is provided through collaboration between ProCE, Inc., Wild Iris Medical Education, Inc., and the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. Wild Iris Medical Education, Inc. is accredited as a provider of continuing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This activity provides 1.0 contact hour of nurse CE credit.
Instructions for Earning Credit
This activity is a self-study program. Upon entering the activity, participants should read the text, examine any images and/or multimedia features, and review the content presented within all of the links provided. Once the course has been reviewed in its entirety, participants will be asked to complete a post-test and evaluation online. Participants must receive a test score of 100% in order to proceed to the course evaluation; the post-test can be repeated until all questions are answered correctly.
