A multidisciplinary team is crucial for effective care of patients living with pulmonary hypertension. Allyson Rupp, LCSW, a social worker at the Stanford Hospitals and Clinics discusses what the role of the social worker in the PH team. Additionally, she will discuss how can the team can work with caregivers and other members of the social support network to ensure the best outcomes possible. If you do not have access to a social worker, Ms. Rupp will also discuss what you should do in the situation where there isn't a social worker designated to the PH care team.
